4/08/2009 - goEuropa designs and deploys web portal for City of Poznan Transport Authority
goEuropa has released portal for City of Poznan Transport Authority. It is available at: www.ztm.poznan.pl. It includes goEuropa modules: timetable viewer, web-based journey planner and gives the public transport passengers in Poznan access to all neccesary information relating to their travel needs.

Zaplanuj podróż w internecie i jedź tramwajem (Gazeta Wyborcza 13.10.2008)
MPK uruchomiło na swojej stronie testową wersję planera podróży, dzięki któremu łatwo sprawdzić na mapie dowolne połączenia tramwajowe i autobusowe
Planer to narzędzie, które jest proste i wygodne w obsłudze. Wystarczy w okienku "początek podróży" wklepać nazwę przystanku, z którego planujemy wystartować, i w "koniec podróży" - punkt docelowy naszej podróży. Sprawę dodatkowo ułatwia fakt, że już po wpisaniu kilku liter pojawiają się przybliżone i pasujące nazwy przystanków.
Dużą zaletą planera, który uruchomiło MPK, jest możliwość planowania podróży na mapie. Punkt początkowy i końcowy ustawia się, klikając prawym przyciskiem myszki. Na czerwono pojawią się trasy linii autobusowych, na niebiesko - tramwajowych.
Planer oczywiście uwzględnia przesiadki, a także podaje godzinę najbliższego odjazdu. Mało tego, narzędzie oblicza czas przejazdu i doradza, w jaki bilet trzeba się zaopatrzyć, chcąc przejechać daną trasę.
- Byliśmy gotowi z testową wersją planera już dawno, ale ciągle zwlekaliśmy z powodu licznych zmian w rozkładzie jazdy - mówi Zbigniew Rusak, wicedyrektor MPK ds. organizacji przewozów. - Aż w końcu stwierdziliśmy, że nie ma co dłużej czekać, nawet jeśli co rusz, z powodu różnych remontów musimy zmieniać trasy. To jest jednak wciąż tylko wersja testowa i tak ją trzeba traktować - zaznacza Rusak.
MPK planuje w przyszłości rozbudowę planera o komunikację podmiejską, a już niedługo umożliwi dodatkową usługę dla posiadaczy telefonów komórkowych. - Dzwoni do mnie żona i prosi o sprawdzenie połączenia z jakiegoś miejsca. Sprawdzam szybko w komputerze, wbijam numer komórkowy do żony i po chwili otrzymuje w komórce opis trasy - tłumaczy Rusak, przy czym zastrzega, że serwis SMS-owy będzie płatny.
11/07/2008 - Irish Technology Company signs Transport contract with Polish City
goEuropa, based at the DkIT technology campus in Dundalk has signed a contract with MPK Poznan - the city transport company in Poznan, Poland that carries over 200 million passengers annually.The contract is for a delivery and management of a web-based passenger information system that will allow public transport passengers to plan their trips through an intuitive map-based facility. It is expected that the website with goEuropa's planner tool will get over 30k hits daily. goEuropa's plans include integration of all operators from the wider Poznan region and an objective to assist over 230 million passengers annually.
Wojciech Kulesza, Sales Director of goEuropa in Poland said:
"Poznan and the wider region have a well developed public transport network. We believe that through improved access to public transport information, we will see an increased transfer from the private car to public transport. The recent rise of oil prices is encouraging consumers to consider alternatives, but this requires efficient and clear information on the options available. As one of the selected Euro 2012 cities, Poznan has provided us with a platform to offer an innovative transport solution to a further Euro 2012 cities."

Irlandzka firma technologii informatycznych dla transportu podpisuje kontrakt z miastem w Polsce
goEuropa, tworząca rozwiązania IT dla transportu i zlokalizowana w Development Centre przy Dundalk Institute of Technology podpisała kontrakt z MPK Poznań - Miejskim Przedsiębiorstwem Komunikacyjnym w Poznaniu, które przewozi ponad 200 milionów pasażerów rocznie. Umowa dotyczy wdrożenia i zarządzania internetowym systemem informacji pasażerskiej, dzięki któremu pasażerowie komunikacji publicznej będą mogli planować swoje podróże poprzez intuicyjne narzędzie, oparte na mapach. Należy się spodziewać, że strona internetowa z planerem goEuropa uzyskiwać będzie ponad 30 tysięcy odwiedzin dziennie. Zamierzeniem goEuropa jest integracja wszystkich przewoźników w regionie Poznania, a celem wsparcie dla ponad 230 milionów pasażerów rocznie.

28/05/2008 - Dundalk Democrat: goEuropa creates tech solution for DkIT's car park crisis

A LOCAL man is one of four people behind a new transport initiative being rolled out in Dundalk which aims to encourage people to use their cars less.
Seamus Crosson, Muirhevna helped to create the 'goEuropa' project which provides timetables and other useful information for all transport in the region via mobile phone while doing a Masters at Dublin City University (DCU).
Users of i-DkIT can access transport timetables and information via their mobile phone, after they have downloaded the software. Apart from the initial download cost, users have free, unlimited access to the system.
Seamus worked on the project which is now operating out of DkIT with Drogheda man Warren Cleland, Kevin Costello from Cavan and Wojciech Kulesza from Poland.
"We are piloting the project in DkIT where the system can be viewed by texting the word dkit to 0858481000. There is huge demand for car park space at the college and this is causing problems," he said.
"Future expansion of the campus is potentially restricted by the demand for car park space. This system will help to promote walking, cycling, car sharing and public transport.
"It will allow the campus to expand by minimising disproportionate investment in car parks, and will create a better campus environment."
Seamus added that they are planning to expand the project in two phases, firstly to the Sustainable Energy Zone and then to the Dundalk/Newry region.
A similiar process is underway in Poznan where the city authority has engaged goEuropa to implement a city-wide system which will be expanded over the coming year by integrating other transport operators in the greater Poznan region.
In addition, a mobile phone system will be launched for travel between Dundalk/Newry and Poznan which will contain all information for connecting ground and air transport links between the two regions.

The software company goEuropa has appointed Genesis Partnerships as its sponsorship and brand partnerships agency.
Genesis Partnerships will be working with goEuropa to develop a sponsorship framework to broker and deliver a series of brand partnerships that utilise the goEuropa application to target customers around major events across Europe.
goEuropa is an Irish-based software application company specialising in providing tailored information to consumers through new media and mobile phones. goEuropa is taking part in a number of European-wide projects, with the main project being the integrated transport information system - a public transport journey planner for travellers. It will do so by providing improved information to consumers on their travel mode choices. goEuropa will have a particular campaign focus on targeting travellers attending major pan-European events.

19/11/2007: DkIT Mobile Phone Application Launched
Dundalk Institute of Technology, Ireland is providing a transport information system for all on the Campus which can be downloaded to most mobile phones. It will provide timetable information on all bus and train services to Dundalk, local bus services to / from the town centre and the DkIT car park minibus. The service is free to use on your mobile phone and no text or internet charges will be incurred regardless of how often you may access the information. Occasional updates of the information will be provided to cater for any future changes in the timetables of transport operators. The application can be downloaded to a memory stick or laptop and transferred to your phone by the appropriate phone cable or via bluetooth to enabled phones or you can download automatically from their website
